Today is the start of the fabulous Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day.. and I decided to join in the fun by giving away a scrap pack of Heather Ross goodness.

If you are a regular you are probably aware I am an avid fan of scrap quilting, paper piecing and colour and my Heather Ross fabrics are always added as a special touch to a quilt. This scrap pack has cuts from some of my 10 of favorite yellow Heather Ross pretties, with most of the pieces being around 9 x 11 inches.

I love scrappy quilts because I can rarely decide on one colour. Having said that I’ve often made blue/green heavy quilts. I do however want to make a quilt heavy on yellow for my bed but I have very little yellow in my stash!

I usually quilt with greys and blues
I really like the fall colors, but if I can use purple I’m a happy camper. Guess when it comes down to it I just love mixing and matching different colors for different effects.

I love scrappy quilts, the brighter the better! Hot pinks, orange, turquoise, yellows are probably my favourite colours.

Yellow, hands down. It’s just so sunny and warm.
I LOVE brights but tend to buy more earthy tones. go figure lol. I want to make a red/white/blue quilt soon 🙂
