So this week I am taking a break from Hodge Podge star blocks for a nice simple Octagon…
This blocks would be fabulous for a fussy cut mini quilt… and it is on my “To Do” list with my Heather Ross stash. You can download the free PDF pattern here…octagon pattern.
And just in case you were wondering how it was all looking…. this is my Hodge Podge collection so far…
Not to shabby…. and since this photo was taken I have added a few more blocks!
Not too shabby at all and I love the black and white low volume, it really makes the colours pop 🙂
Why thank you Carie. I was not sure it would work but when the blocks went up on the wall I was pleased with where it was heading.
you have the most beautiful collection of fabric! I love all these together.
My husband thinks it is the most annoying collection of fabric this week, because it seems to be in every room of the house! LOL.
I love it! It is a happy quilt!
Diane I think happy is the perfect adjective for this quilt.
Gorgeous little jewel nuggets of colour! I especially like the one block where you’ve used black and white on a coloured background instead. Are you giving this one away too, or will you allow yourself to keep it for a change?
Hi Kate… putting the blocks up on the design wall made me realise I need more of these reverse blocks. Not too many but a handful…. so I think I will be keeping it. How is life in sunny QLD.
Life is hot ad sunny but rather too dry up here. CQ and BrisVegas has been getting all our rain 😦
I’m glad you’re making more of the reverse ones, they will ping out beautifully!
Absolutely delightful!
What a fun collection. I’ll be swapping out a few of the blocks in the big 365 challenge with some of your blocks. I like them better.
Love. Love, love seeing any emails from you in my inbox!!!
